My sister's love of music had the earliest influence on me - Carol King, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Elton John, and of course, Springsteen. When I started playing and writing -and developed my own taste in music - I discovered Nanci Griffith, Richard Shindell, Patty Griffin, and many other artists in the folk and singer-songwriter genres.

Around 2010, I joined a songwriting exchange which lit a fire in me to uncover what music is uniquely mine and to play publicly, which I hadn't done in over 25 years.
